The Mosaic Challenge is a creative, engaging and complex team building activity which requires, focus, teamwork and trust.
The resulting mosaics are bright, colourful and the best thing about them is that they last for ever.
Each mosaic is a true testament to the power, effectiveness and collective creativity of the team.

The Mosaic Challenge
Making a mosaic is a task that requires supreme team work. It is also a strangely compelling and great fun team building concept!
Teams must first agree their designs – usually based on a pre-selected theme for the team building event.
Then there are many functions that have to be fulfilled – preparation of the tessera – selection of colours, smashing up and cutting shapes from the tiles – and so much more…
The activity is best when there is at least three hours or more available.
Teams are optimised at 5-6 team members per team
How it Works
Following a briefing each team must first work out their designs and draw them up onto their wooden mosaic boards.
During this ‘design and drawing’ phase – other team members can start selecting and preparing their tessera and tiles.
Some tessera are pre-prepared in sheets by colour. Other are simply solo coloured wall tiles which need to be smashed (great fun) and cut using nippers.
Teams then glue their pieces onto the boards using PVA glue which must be mixed to just the right consistency so it sticks fast and quick.
Once all the pieces are in place – the grey grout (cement) is applied and left to dry.
Finally using newspaper and good old fashioned vinegar – the mosaics are cleaned of excess grout before being sprayed (outdoors) to seal them.
Once complete – each team is invited to step up and present their masterpiece before all are left on display whilst team members enjoy a well earned drink.
