The Catwalk Challenge is a creative team building event that focuses on style, fashion and presentation.
Teams must design, produce, launch and model a new fashion collection.
Team roles include models (min 2 male 2 female), manufacturing (no sewing), lighting, catwalk graphics, music, show-calling, choreograph and developing the business proposition.
"I'll stop wearing black when they invent a darker colour"
How it Works
Teams must first decide what their theme is and what their collection should like and represent.
Mood boards using magazine tear sheets will be made to explain their concepts.
Teams will first have the chance to select fabric, pins, rubber bands, clips, feathers, beads and all manner of accessories with which they must make their collection. (No sewing is allowed)
Teams have enough ‘fashion credits’ to get most of what they need. After the fabric market closes they must barter between teams for items they may want that other teams have secured.
The models will then be used as clothes horses as the manufacturing team members create their items of clothing on the models.
The production team members must design and produce the “show”. They select background graphics from Google, music and then working with our choreographer – rehearse the models to work the Catwalk.
One person must also develop a ‘Voice of God’ voice over for their collection.
Finally – as the culmination to all the team collaboration and effort – everyone takes their seats alongside the catwalk as teams take it in turn to show off their collections.
