Personal Impact

In business, as in life – your success will be defined, at least in part, by the impact you make when you enter a room, when you stand up to speak, when you start a sales process, when you galvanise your team.
It is the impression you make that will create your own competitive advantage
So ask yourself this question: “What Impact do I currently make? What do people say about me when I’ve gone. Do people want to work with me – be part of my team , hear what I have to say, follow my example?

How it Works
We offer Personal Impact coaching for individuals and Personal Impact training for teams or groups.
We start by understanding your needs and tailoring the development cohort to your own agenda.
The session lasts 1 day and touches on key elements as follows:
1.The Elevator Pitch / Statement
Developing a short, concise and compelling statement about a business, a situation or even about you. Focus is on
- USP’s (Unique Selling Points)
- Creating Excitement
- Keeping it simple
- Rehearsal and recording (writing and re writing)
2. Building Rapport
Rapport describes a relationship of trust and responsiveness. It means we try to acknowledge other people’s view of the world. You do not have to agree, just recognise and respect it.
Rapport can be established (or broken) through:
- Words
- Body Language
- Tone Of Voice
- Appearance and Clothing
- Behaviour
- Humour
- Energy / Speed
We also look at Conflict resolution and energy matching here as appropriate
3. Active Listening
Creating impact in communication through:
- Good eye contact
- Nodding
- Smiling and/or laughing
- Asking relevant questions that indicate interest
- Making statements that reflect similar situations
- Body language that is open and receptive
- Bringing the conversation full circle.
4. Knowing Your Audience
Through research, planning, rehearsal and considering the 5 W’s (who, what, where, when, why) we can ensure that you get the most from your audience and they get the most from you.
5. Making an Entrance / Impact
Here we look at what it takes to ‘work a room’ – to get noticed in a positive way, to start conversations – to be in control. We look at:
- Physicality
- Geography within the room or venue
- Working in pairs
- Name badges
- Observation
- Questioning
- Humour
6. Practise Makes Perfect
- Live
- One to One
- To Camera
