James joined the Poisson Rouge team as Business Development Manager in March 2017.
Prior to joining Poisson Rouge – James worked in the hospitality sector part time whilst completing his joint honours degree in Business Law with Event Management at London Metropolitan University.
After graduating he went on to manage the prestigious Jazz Café in London achieving the accolade of being the youngest employee to run a Live Nation (MAMA) Group venue as senior manager.
James excelled in the hospitality industry and subsequently managed other leading London entertainment venues such as Brixton Jamm and Lockside Camden.
James has managed teams in excess of 50 people and excels in helping teams to optimise their performance by building personal relationships and helping them to work smarter. He takes great pride and places great emphasis on staff engagement, happiness and delivering superb customer service.
At Poisson Rouge James is responsible for developing both existing and new client relationships as well as managing and facilitating the delivery of creative, team building activities.
His core values revolve around collaboration, honesty, integrity, discipline, loyalty and commitment and James’s self-declared, personal goal is to have a positive impact on people’s lives.
Outside of work – James’ other interests include running his own nightclub event brand – “demdayz” (which he has done for almost a decade), having an active involvement in local politics, regular trips to Scandinavia, food, boxing and most recently cycling.
